Checking your car’s fluid is a must. A lot of important stuff that works in your car uses fluid, like your fuel, oil, radiators, and many more.

Some of the most frequently checked fluid is the oil. With less than usual oil, your car may be damaged because of friction and heat. We have talked about this issue before.

But, when you are checking your fluid like your engine oil, you must remember one simple note, do it on a level ground.

Why? This is because fluid will always stay level no matter the surface. For example, most cars' dipsticks are in the front part of the engine, when the car is not levelled and looking up, the fluid will move to the back and make the reading inaccurate, the dipstick will register less oil than actual.

This can be misleading, making you add more oil to the engine. You may not know this but, there’s a reason why there’s a max level of oil in an engine. If there is too much oil, the pressure inside the engine will be so high and may break more stuff, like engine seals, leading to more damage.

This can also happen if the front of the car is lower than the back, the oil will move to the front towards the dipstick, tricking you into thinking that there is enough or more oil than the actual.

If you like to do these types of maintenance, you must also check your tyre. By checking simple things like the dustcaps, condition of the tyre visually, and the air pressure. You will be able to make your Forceum’s tyre last longer and safer to be used.

Mengecek cairan pada mobil adalah hal yang wajib. Banyak komponen mobil bekerja dengan cairan, misalnya bahan bakar, oli, radiator, dan lain-lain.

Beberapa cairan yang paling sering di cek adalah oli. Dengan oli yang lebih sedikit, mobilmu mungkin bisa mengalami kerusakan karena gesekan dan panas. Kami pernah bicara tentang isu ini sebelumnya.

Mengapa? Ini karena cairan akan selalu rata tanpa mempedulikan kemiringan. Misalnya, kebanyakan mobil memiliki dipstick yang berada di depan, ketika mobil tidak rata atau miring, misalnya mendongak, cairan akan bergerak ke bagian belakang dan membuat hasilnya tidak akurat. Dipstick akan menunjukkan jumlah oli yang lebih sedikit dari seharusnya.

Ini bisa menjadi sesat, membuat kamu menambah oli mesin. Mungkin kamu tidak tahu hal ini sebelumnya, tetapi ada alasan mengapa oli mesin memiliki batas maksimum.
