So, in off-road cars, it is usually equipped with an axle lock or differential locker. The purpose is one, locking the axle or diff so that all wheels can rotate at the same time.

Why does diff lock need to be locked and unlocked? Because when the diff is locked, the car will be difficult to manoeuvre because there is no difference in speed between the inner and outer side wheels.

Sehingga, pada mobil off-road, biasa dilengkapi dengan pengunci gardan atau differential locker. Tujuannya satu, mengunci gardan agar seluruh roda dapat berputar disaat bersamaan.

Ketika kondisi medan off-road sedang sulit, maka ada gardan yang bisa dikunci sesuai dengan keinginan pengemudi. Namun, ada juga sistem yang bisa mendeteksi hal ini dan mengunci secara otomatis.

Mengapa kunci gardan perlu dibuka dan tutup? Karena ketika gardan terkunci, mobil akan sulit bermanuver karena tidak ada perbedaan kecepatan antara roda sisi dalam dan luar.

Karena itu, dengan adanya diff locker, maka off-road dengan ban Forceum M/T-08 akan semakin mudah.
